Anna Leigh Ashford

Annaleigh Amanda Ashford was born in the United States. The actress is an actor, singer and dancer. One of her first Broadway shows included Wicked Legally Blonde Hair. The play You Can't Take It With You in which she was awarded the Tony Award as Best Featured actor in an Play. Annaleigh Ashford, a Tony Award-winning actor as well as director, has spent the bulk of her career working alongside famous directors and actors both on stage and screen. Ashford will be next seen alongside Kumail Nannjiani in Robert Siegel's Hulu Limited Series Welcome to Chippendales premiering November 22. Ashford is currently working on Searchlight Pictures' horror film Dust with Sarah Paulson alongside Ebon and Moss Bachrach. The film will be available on Disney's DTC platforms, as well as Hulu Original. Ashford is scheduled to return to Broadway in March 2023, in which he'll be starring alongside Josh Groban opposite Stephen Sondheim's Sweeney Todd. The production will be held at the Lunt-Fontanne Theatre. This production will be led by Thomas Kail and produced by Jeffrey Seller, the team that created Hamilton. Ashford most recently starred Paula Jones in the new Ryan Murphy FX series American Crime Story Impeachment that is based upon the crisis in America that picked up Paula Jones Monica Lewinsky and Linda Tripp as principal characters as the nation's first impeachment proceedings in over one century. Ashford appeared for two seasons on the CBS popular comedy B Positive. It was developed by Marco Pennette, Chuck Lorre and Linda Lavin. The show also had Ben Vereen and Elizondo. Sunday in the Park starring George Wicked and Legally Blonde are amongst her additional Broadway performances. Ashford is a native of Denver.
